Program of the World Day of the Sick in the Holy Land

INVITATION – This year, Nazareth was chosen for the main celebration of the World Day of the Sick on February 11, 2016. The city of the Annunciation will welcome a Pontifical delegation mandated by Pope Francis. The delegation comprises people who are responsible for the pastoral care of the sick worldwide. Entrusting oneself to the merciful Jesus like Mary: “Do whatever He tells you” (John 2:5) is the theme of this year, which falls within the context of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. Moreover, the Pope’s message for the 24th World Day of the Sick was released on January 28th, in the Vatican.

Please find below the program of the celebrations, which will take place in Nazareth, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Ramallah.
