Opening of the Plenary Assembly of European Episcopal Conferences
HOLY LAND – On Friday, September 11, the Plenary Assembly of the Council of European Episcopal Conferences (CCEE) will start in the Holy Land. This plenary which ends on September 16, will include celebrations in various Holy Places, such as Capernaum, Magdala, Nazareth, Mi’ilya in Galilee, Jerusalem and Bethlehem. The two central themes of the meeting are: the figure of Jesus, and sharing the joys and challenges of the Church in Europe
The exceptional nature of the event is that for the first time in the recent history of Christianity, many high-level representatives of the European Episcopate are meeting in the Holy Land.
