Jerusalem, a week-end under a blanket of snow
JERUSALEM – A heavy layer of snow fell over Jerusalem last Friday 20 February 2015, coating alleys, rooftops and daily activities in a city that is rarely used to be covered by a blanket of snow and cold Snow, which has melted meanwhile, lasted long enough to make photographers and lovers of snowballs happy and cheerful. Saturday was also marked by the first Solemn Entry into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Lent 2015. The Latin Patriarch was absent, and was therefore replaced by his Vicar Mgr Shomali. Capes and long mantles were geared to brace the freezing cold of the roads
