Eucharistic Symphony in the Garden of Gethsemane
JERUSALEM – A Eucharistic Symphony concert will be held in the Garden of Gethsemane on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 18:00, which calls for greater mutual understanding between the Eastern and Western churches, and respect for religious freedom. The Eucharistic Symphony is one of the latest compositions of the titular organist of the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre, Father Armando Pierucci, ofm. It is inspired by liturgical pieces ordinarily sung during the Eucharistic liturgy from twelve different Christian churches and musical traditions of the Holy City. The Symphony which premieres in Jerusalem will be broadcast live by Christian TV channels worldwide. Subsequent performances will be held in Geneva, Milan and Matera.
