Cardinal Dolan and USCCB support Christians of the Holy Land

UNITED STATES – His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the United States and a Grand Prior (for the US Eastern Lieutenancy) of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre expressed support for Christians of the Holy Land and joined in the call to Israeli authorities to bring to justice the perpetrators of the recent acts of vandalism at the Latroun Abbey. The letter dated September 7, 2012 was co-signed by the Most Rev. Richard Pates, Bishop of Des Moines and Chairman USCCB’s International Justice and Peace, was addressed to His Beatitude Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.  Full text of the letter is published below.
