Celebration in Cyprus for 10 years of priesthood of Fr Andrew Ahrin
NICOSIA – On July 3 at 11am in the Church of the Holy Cross in Nicosia the celebration for the 10th anniversary of priesthood of Fr. Andrew Ahrin took place. What better opportunity to invite all the Latin pastors to the capital of the Cypriot island!
In addition to the local community made up of Fr. Evencio Herrera, Vicar General of the Latin Patriarch of Cyprus, and some seminarians Brs. David Grenier
and Sandro Tomasevic, newly arrived from Jerusalem to carry out their service here in the summer, Brothers Gabriel and Zaccheusz Dulniok Vormawah answered the invitation of the convent in Larnaca. Present, also, were Br. Andrew Herro Verdote accompanied by Brother Simon on his way to Limassol, the fathers of the community of the Word Incarnate, P. Carlos Ferrero and P. Miguel’s Calle responsible for the parish of Paphos, with P. Javier Aguancha and seminarian Rodi Noura of the Neocatechumenal Way.
During the celebration, Fr. Andrew said that the priest should follow the example of Peter in repeating to Jesus: “I love you Lord”, responding to his command to feed the flock, making sure that no one is excluded. The Honoree also took the opportunity to thank Fr. Gabriel, the first Ghanaian to be part of the Custody, the inspiration for him and all his compatriots who in succession joined the Franciscans of the Holy Land.
