Jordanian Youth Participate in the World Youth Day
In coordination with H.E. Bishop Salim Sayegh, the Jordanian Youth seek to participate in the World Youth Day in Madrid – Spain, from 16 to 21 August 2011, in a meeting with His Holiness the Pope.
H. Holiness Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate the 26th World Youth Day in Madrid, the Spanish Capital, between 16 and 21 August, 2011. H. H. will say Mass surrounded by a large number of Bishops and Priests in the presence of millions of the young and the consecrated. They will represent the most beautiful embodiment of the Church.
This year’s gathering will be singled out by the announcement of the beatification of Pope John Paul II (he who established World Youth Days) and his being declared Patron of these celebrations, an immense joy for the youth each year.
In coordination with H.E. Bishop Salim Sayegh, and upon his return from Rome where he attended the second preparatory meeting for these Days, the superintendent general delineated the schedule for the Jordanian delegation to the celebrations and defined the preliminary requirements for joining the delegation.
