Msgr Klaus Krämer receives the pilgrim’s shell
On the 25th of August, the Latin Patriarchate received the visit of Msgr Dr Klaus Krämer, president of Missio internationalis, Dr Rudolf Solzbacher, director of Weltkirche- Welemission in the dicese of Cologne and of Mr Heinz Thiel, general secretary of the German Association of the Holy Land.
They were accompanied by Mr Bernt Mussinghof, local director of the office of the German Association in Jerusalem.
In the absence of His Beatitude, they were welcomed by Msgr, William Shomali the auxiliary bishop of Jerusalem. They discussed together questions related to Schmidt school, Saint Yves Society, the Seminary and about what we expect from the coming Synod on the Middle East. The exchange of ideas was very useful for both sides. There is no need to say that Missio Intenationalis and Weltkirche- Koln support many pastoral projects in the Middle East and in the Holy Land thanks to the generosity of the German Catholics. On another side, the German Association supports many institutions in the Holy Land such as Schmidt school, Tabgha Shrine and guest house, and Qubeibeh center for the elderly. At the end of the visit, Dr Krämer received his pilgrim’s shell since it was his first visit to the Holy Land after his investiture as knight-commander of the Holy Sepulcher.
